At DZNR Design Studio, our design process is a meticulous journey that seamlessly blends creativity and functionality. Each project undergoes a strategic and comprehensive series of stages, ensuring that our clients' visions are not only realized but elevated to new heights.
1. Exploration and Conceptualization:
Our design journey commences with thorough research, documentation, and the generation of innovative ideas. This phase involves ideation, sketching, and conceptual development by our dedicated team of designers. We explore multiple stylistic directions, incorporating both technical solutions and aesthetic variants. This initial stage culminates in a presentation that includes a concise overview of the competition, concept sketches, product line concepts, simple 3D visualizations, and 3D modeling in Rhinoceros. The estimated working time for this phase is 30-50 hours.
2. Formative Design:
Upon deciding the desired direction, we delve into shaping the object. This phase includes detailing the form to meet specific technical specifications and dimension measurements. Although it doesn't involve the creation of a technical project for execution, it is a vital step in establishing formal details before the technological design. Our team provides a 3D design in Rhinoceros with exports to DWG, STL, OBJ, and a design for simple cardboard packaging with 2D graphics in PDF and Illustrator format. The estimated working time for this stage is 40-60 hours, with an additional 20 hours allocated for modifications after technological discussions.
3. Consultancy:
Throughout the project, DZNR Design Studio offers consultancy services in product design. We also extend guidance in marketing aspects, product life cycles, and production processes wherever possible. This includes phone discussions, emails for all communication moments during the project, discussions to determine materials and production processes, and consultancy to establish the stylistic concept. The estimated working time for this stage is 20-30 hours.
4. Work Monitoring:
As the project progresses, we meticulously monitor the execution plans, undertaking works of mold and technological adaptation. This involves multiple exchanges of files and communications with the production/prototyping department. Additionally, we conduct processes of redesign and hold meetings at the factory with production managers.
This is an additional phase that is not included in the Industrial Design Services and can be optionally added. The estimated time will be calculated only after the project brief.
