Many orgs do good work, but only haphazardly, and they do not understand why. Others know they are missing key skills, like accessibility or being more mobile-first, but don't know how to get the whole team up to speed. Continuing education is good, but individuals can only bring so much back from conferences and classes; the right way is to carve out a few hours to educate everyone at once, narrowly and specifically. As an expert in the field of mobile and touch especially, I have done this, and can do the same for you. I have nothing ready to go, but will create a presentation specific to your needs, your domain, and your team's current understanding and level of maturity. I can work very specifically, discussing your product and goals, or generally as an industry overview so you don't even have to let on what your secret projects are. In-person training is also possible, discuss for my schedule and you pay travel expenses as well. Post-presentation questions and reviews of project revisions, etc are also available for a negotiated fee or hourly rate.

A key part of consistency and usability, hand in hand with design systems, is providing not just guidelines for design of graphic elements but an actual controlled library of icons, that can then be used across the enterprise and on all platforms, from websites to control panels. I have designed almost a dozen complete icon libraries, and assisted with guidelines or individual icons for dozens more. This also sometimes includes consistent mid-fidelity illustrations that are a bit more than just "icons" but can be used for non-photographic, icon-like representations of products. A basic icon set for a startup will run to no more than about 40 icons or illustrations, provided in a package of all the available vector formats.
