Joshua Tree National Park
November 2019 ~ A Personal Project
I tend to have an intuitive feeling of what a certain place looks like if it was a visual product. When I think about the Mojave Desert and Joshua Tree, I instantly see funky, psychedelic lettering plus an assortment of bright orange and pink hues to compliment the horizon during sunset, hence the overall theme here.
In this photo series, I did my best attempt at bringing my vision to life in what I like to call a "visual journey". Through striking photo-editing, minor photo-manipulation, and some gritty textures, paired with quick hand-drawn ink illustrations, this comes pretty dang close to what I see in my mind.
