A short animation about the work of a translator. I made it on request of the Dutch Foundation for Literature for their 'Vertalersgeluktournee 2013' (Tour of Translators hapiness). Translators often work in the background and are mostly invisable to the public. This animation gives a short impression of the translators job. When making a translation a translator builds a close or even intimate relation with the book to understand it completely. It's as like he feels it, smells it, or even gets drowned in the book. In the end this will make a good translation. The animation is to promote the work of translators and to put them in the spotlight. Enjoy!
