These illustration samples, are part of 32 in total, commissioned by the Cycladic Art Museum for a booklet titled "Playing in Ancient Greece with Lysis and Timarete" ("Παίζοντας στην Αρχαία Ελλάδα με τον Λύσι και την Τιμαρέτη").
Lysis and his sister Timarete take us around 5th c. BC Athens and the world of children in antiquity. Comprehensive texts and numerous photos help kids to understand the ancient origin and the rules of games that are played until today.
