Textile illustrations for H Tokyo

I've created a series of nature-inspired illustrations for handkerchiefs and embroidery designs for H Tokyo, a textile accessories maker from Japan.

The handkerchiefs are made in Japan from high quality cotton fabrics and sold across the country in the H Tokyo stores.

Bugs and Flowers

This blue-toned design is inspired by all the small creatures of the natural world - the bugs, ladybirds, worms and other little insects that often go unseen.

Snakes and Strawberries

I was inspired by the Japanese myth of white snakes bringing good fortune to those who discover their true nature. I am personally scared of snakes meanwhile I'm also fascinated by their strange appearance and coloring.

Paradise

As I'm from a cold Northern country, I love traveling to places in warmer climates. This design in inspired by my travels to the corners of the World where it's possible to wander amongst lush fruit trees in endless sunshine.

Pigeon Spy

This illustration is inspired by my trip to Porto in Portugal, where I saw a sneaky black cat spying on pigeons in a local park.

Embroidery Designs

I also created two tiny embroidery designs that each are the size of a fingertip. The designs depict a running black cat and an arching flower branch. They can be added on the blank H Tokyo handkerchiefs for a personalised touch.
