‘Obsession’ is a performance video and documentary filmed in Berlin featuring aspiring contemporary dancer Mijung Kwon. Her passion for dance borders on obsession as more than 30% of her hip joint is dead due to avascular necrosis.

Even with her decaying body, she continues to dance because, as she explains it, “dance is not only my dream, but it is also my obsession. I don’t have a choice. I just have to dance.”

This film explores the destructive nature of aspirations and the beauty of the human will to overcome obstacles and find personal truth and pure joy.

The music is produced by electronic artist SHSHA and features pop singer/songwriter Skyler Cocco.
