A freelance project for the Pakistani electro music group SomeWhatSuper who wanted a logo that had a strong visual identity and had a South Asian element in it.

For this logo I took inspiration from the painted strokes found in truck art to create a more modern look. The black design is a deconstructed calligraphic design that spells SomeWhatSuper in Urdu and at the bottom there are paint drops to hint at the truck art paintings but also adding a graffiti element, too. The form of the letters in the English text is inspired by the strokes in the black calligraphy.
