Bouxtie is a mobile e-gifting app where you can buy last minute gift cards directly on your phone to send to someone through text message or email. 

The app wasn't doing as well as they had liked and the team suspected it was due to poor design. I came on board to help re-design the app to improve usability and add new features.

The biggest new feature they wanted to add was an integration with Facebook to gather upcoming friend's birthdays. Other smaller additions included the ability to schedule a gift, send video messages, and add other payment methods.

Learning about the e-gifting industry allowed me to make my own suggestions for the app which included a where to redeem feature - which showed recipients of gifts the closest stores where they could redeem their card- the ability to regift a gift card, and the further use of Facebook data like the pages and groups your friends follow to help in choosing which brand would be the best gift.
