I recently uncovered an old stack of sketches while cleaning my closet. I had totally forgotten about Flourish Fridays. It was a 12 week public project from about a year ago. Every Friday I would post a new lettering sketch. What is crazy to me now is that I only spent 30 minutes a day on this practice. It was a great personal project that didn’t require too much time.
If you’re new to design (or an old pro) and looking to jump start your creativity I highly recommend a public practice of your craft on a regular basis. When you make a project public it keeps you accountable and it brings people into your journey. Not only does it develop your technical skills but it opens your eyes to just how many ways you can design just two words. The possibilities are endless.
