GD42 Visual Rebranding: Scoops, Soups, & More

Scoops, Soups, & More - Home of Nummy Nummy Ice Cream
Mission Statement:
To redesign a logo for an existing shop that is fun and easier to read while allowing advertising both the ice cream and soup its famous for. The goal was to maintain the variety expressed within the company name while keeping it concise and readable. Target audience is families, with consideration for college students at Fresno State.

Because of the Hierarchy of "Scoops" in the name, it was eventually decided on to use a spoon rather than a direct symbol of ice cream or other foods. Various symbols like bowls and soups ladles were considered, but a tablespoon was used due to its defined shape and versatility.
Pain De Mie: Used for its organic qualities which compliments the shop's "scoops and soups" while making it appealing to families.

Aktiv Grotesque: General Text. Its large font family and legibility can be used for advertising, body copy, and formal documents.

Red and Blue were used to represent the shop's partnership with Fresno State while maintaining its own identity. Vanilla white coloring is used to convey creaminess, nostalgia, and comfort (Regular white may also be used).

Collateral/Mockups
Secondary graphics in tandem with Vanilla White should used within advertising to convey the food's cream and froth. Red should be the dominant color within ads and collateral, and Blue can be used for accents and color variety.
