Eastern in Little Portugal

When I lived in Portugal, I lived in the little village of Avintes in the North of the country. Every year my father and my brother joined the Easter groups that went to visit people's homes and announce the Ressurrection of Christ (yeah, that's right). In 2009 I joined them to document the experience.
The "zuikerboontjes" (in dutch) or "amêndoas" (in portuguese) are part of Eastern Tradition. What is also part of the Tradition is making a little donation to the church, after the visit, ususally discretelly put in an envelope. Let the boontjes give the hint!
