49th annual commemoration of 25 de abril in Portugal, the date that marks the end of the Salazar dictatorship and the liberation of the Portuguese colonies in Africa.
This is a day for the Portuguese people to celebrate at the same time as it is a day to remember that change is possible through union. The dictatorship is still very fresh in the minds and lives of the people, and the street is a carnival of different generations marching for different causes, but united at the same time, trying to be seen and heard.
From the kids to the oldest, the street is a representation that beloved Portugal belongs to its people.
