My first journey into After effect.
After a few months of watching tutorials on Youtube and fiddling with the basics I took on this project in After Effects. The aim was to create, design and animate my Family Crest.
The First thing to do was to find out what the Garner Crest looked like. With the help of Google I found a number of reference files to take inspiration from.
I developed the intial drawing in Illustrator, breaking each element up onto its own layer so that they could be animated at a later time.
I spent quite some time animating and tweeking setting in After Effects to achieve the final render.
