BRIEF
Design a new router taking into account that production will be based on injection molding.
The internal components will have to be the same as detected by the product analysis.
Note: this exercise aimed at optimization and waste control, aesthetic followed function and not vice versa.
WHAT WE DID
- Designed a product assembly with the fewest number of parts designed to be disassembled and recycled.
- Simplified molds by eliminating every cart and unnecessary handling.
- Reduced the amount of plastic used by over 52%.
- Reduced both molding and assembly time.
