Problem
An IT financial analytics company needed to refresh its data and financial modeling configuration system, which was last worked on six years prior. However, there had been so much "feature creep" that no one had any idea what features were in the product.
Solution
I did a census of Studio's information architecture in order to construct simple visual maps of each page. With this I could then do a full census of functions in Excel, pointing back to the maps I'd created.
I used an in-house information architecture language we'd created, then came up with a visual language to handle layout locations.
