Pre-Production
Location
We chose "Lata Kunj" in Andheri for this shoot. This is a well known location for a lot of TV shows and films shot in Mumbai. We chose this place in particular because it has a large enough space in the middle for 3 different sets (Living room, Dining and Bedroom) as well as a balcony attached which was essential. This location also had enough space for vanity vans and generator and lighting busses in the front and space for scaffolding for the lights at the back.
The set
We re-coloured the walls, re-tinted windows and used a fake wall to get the right look.
Also worked with art design to get the appropriate furniture and props.
Lighting
Worked with the Gaffer and DOP to get the appropriate lights like the sky box, key, fill and strobe lights which was essential to get the camera flash effect we needed in the film.
Camera
We rented a Sony Venice film camera and a half track set to achieve effects like the dolly zoom.
