This was a project where we were trying to work with a Swiss University who were trying to device
a way to test arsenic contaminated water in India. They created a strain of genetically modiefied E.coli bacteria that would glow under UV light when injected into a sample of arsenic contaminated water. Our job, as designers, was to make this technology easily usable by the public. So we created a prototype for a mobile lab
that contained all the necessary equipment to carry out the arsenic testing as well as other small tests on water samples. We worked at NCBS, Bangalore and also with the Hackteria lab.
