ELECTRIC CITY is a mutlidisciplinary theatrical performance currently on tour at Butlins, UK. Comprising of programmed LED circus props, 3 screens and many circus and dance performers, the story takes us on a journey throughout the Electric City. This project began in 2019 and I created the first iteration of the show using Cinema 4D, After Effects and Premiere. The project overview for that work is here. Fast forward to 2021 and it was time for some new scenes and revisions.

This time, I chose to do all the work in Notch, 2 new full scenes with a complex array of choreographed interactions, one scene being over 10 minutes long, was quite a challenge, but it gave me an opportunity to test-drive my learning within Notch and the real-time rendering capabilities meant revisions where a breeze.

The 3D environments were still constructed in Cinema 4D, making good use of a few Kitbash 3D kits, and setting everything up to be textured, lit, animated and rendered in Notch. Additional particle and post-fx were added here too.

Once this show has finished it's 2 year run with Butlins, it will continue independently to tour across the UK and Europe.
