Space Bridge (dev)

Space Bridge 1 is a personal project in early development, to be used as a real-time VJ scene or as an interactive installation. It's currently set up to use MIDI control but physical gesture control is being sketched out. I have a Kinect Azure SDK so will be setting this up before the summer.

It's a very simple set up - one particle system using a spline emitter, with a spline drawn out as a 16:9 rectangle (easily adapted to different screen sizes) and set just behind the camera. Then there is a constant velocity affector to create the tunnel.

The controls begin with setting the X and Y scale and position of the spline itself, and then move on to a selection of particle effectors, (slight) camera position changes, and post-FX. As everything is shooting away from the viewer, into the distance, each action can be seen to have a delay type effect, we're constantly looking back at the recent history of events. Some effectors turn this on it's head by starting further back and either resting there or moving towards the viewer.

It's a bit of fun, and pretty cosmic, and still in it's early stages, let me know what you think!
