The idea was about feeling at home by someone who makes us feel comfortable and saved is the best valentine's gift that we have been getting 365 days a year.
How I came up with an idea about candy-like environment:
First, I made the concept in Adobe Photoshop. I also collected reference images on Pinterest as I needed to have an idea about the composition. I love this phase because it's where I didn't have to worry whether or not my sketch looked good.Where I was still laying down my ideas; Visualizing it in my mind, and I'm only translating it in the sketches.
My first idea. Notice that the carrot house was different. I did make a new version of it when I was doing the lineart in Adobe Illustrator. About the thoughts of having a candy-like environment: I wanted to combine Hans & Gretel with rabbits.

The outline mode is very chaotic, or not? :) I use gradient tool quite a lot for the shading. I know that there is a better way to make the shapes with a pen tool as we can reduce vertex points, but I make the shapes with a pencil tool and I group them one by one according to which object and arrange them back and forth.
I also use Blob Brush tool quite a lot. After making rough concept in Photoshop, the first thing I do in Adobe Illustrator is making a lineart with the blob brush, and then the colors and shading. Without the lines.
