One of the best things when you are working on digital is that you can edit your previous sketch as it was some sort of Frankenstein corpse. In this particular case it helped a lot because it has a panel structure and it's plenty of elements. Also, when I have the final composition I always do a very clean inking (as clean as I can, erm...). That balances the distress effects, low grading textures and half toned colors of the final art.
