Brief:
Creative work reaches deep into our intuitive and unconscious minds, into our hearts and feelings. The sea change design process helped to define your calling and its embedded meaning.
Now you will examine the ways in which this abstract idea can be interpreted and represented in visual form, offering clarity, embedded meaning and understanding to the viewer. Push beyond literal translation and use metaphors and story telling for your design.
Metaphors not only enliven expression and make it more poetic and appealing, but metaphorical connection is the way the human brain understands anything abstract. we understand almost everything that is not concrete (even “concrete” is a metaphor) in terms of something else.
In short, the expansiveness of our metaphors determines the expansiveness of our reality and what we are able—and unable—to see. expand the scope and richness of the metaphors we reason with. we humans have an apparently unlimited ability to create new combinations of imagery.
Emphasis will be placed upon original concept development and the exploration of diverse processes, techniques and methods. you will be expected to experiment and explore, thereby expanding on your visualizing skills.
Intention:
My own personal intention was "How can I foster positive growth in my community to encourage thoughtful connections?" The harmonic pattern I chose to represent my intention was a branching pattern.
