Dental Implant

Dental Implant is a system that replaces missing teeth. A dental implant also called a dental bridge, is an artificial component that interfaces directly with the patient's jaw bone or skull in order to securely support a dental appliance like a crown, denture, bridge, smile makeover, or orthodontic bracket. The implant has the ability to be adjusted by means of removable titanium screws and is generally made of a composite material like polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) or fused quartz. The dental implant is permanently bonded to the bone by means of surgical sutures. The implant is usually mounted on the gums through a procedure called a gum lift.
