A graphics card used in a computer can be mainly divided into three parts.
1. Base or circuit board
2. Processor
3. Fins
The only part of a graphics card that generates heat during its working is the processor which lies on top of the circuit board but below the fins. The fins are placed to provide efficient cooling for the processor using air as a fluid.
In this project, steady state conjugate heat transfer (CHT) analysis has been performed on a model of a graphics card.
