Gig Poster Project ( Kasey Musgraves Concert )

I was tasked to create a one color hand crafted, custom lettered t-shirt design using either Photoshop, Illustrator or Adobe CC Mobile apps on the iPad. I was introduced to what makes a good t-shirt design. I evaluated several typographic solutions, learned the steps to creating a t-shirt design as well as being responsible for creating a unique, well thought out type design of your own. After designs were completed, I learned the  basics of screen-printing on T-Shirts. I learned how to cover art, film prep, and use screens, mesh, emulsion, squeegees, inks, exposure, registration.

Goals:
Successfully prep a file to be used for a 1-color t-shirt design
Make good use of time and stayed on task
Have good craftsmanship (illustration, prepping and printing of shirts)
Be sure to follow instructions
Be creative, have original thoughts, use your imagination, and be inventive
Gain technical competence and skill with materials and media (digital and the screen printing process)

This was my start, designing my poster digitally. I did this using Procreate. I mapped out Typography, traced my silhouette, and made other adjustments to the final look.
After finishing designing, and making changes through illustrator, I printed out my transparencies!
I chose to pair contrasting inks together to create an "organized chaos" feel. Kasey Musgraves' vibe centers around bright colors so the bright orange and teal adds to the aesthetic.
Here is a video of the last layer (gold) being printed. I ran into some issues concerning the tread count being too low for some of my layers. But here with the gold I was finding it difficult to print it evenly. My goal was to assert a lot of pressure into the gold screen as you can see in this video.
