This is a design I created for the purpose of an Art History class during the
Visual Merchandising course at AKTO Art & Design College.
Visual Merchandising course at AKTO Art & Design College.
The challenge was to create something by combining two completely different periods of art or artists.
My choice was to pick a figurine from the Cycladic Art period of Greece, which has been an inspiration for a variety of famous artists like Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse.
On that basis I chose a not-so-famous abstract composition of János Mattis-Teutsch, and came up with a design.
It could be applied on many things including merchandising products or even an artistic Window Display that you can check in my portfolio.
