vivo esports gaming Chinajoy activation: AI vs Human

Sept 2019: Chinajoy is the biggest gaming event in China and the theme was "Outplay" in 2019. With many brands involved in gaming and esports bringing in professional esports teams for their brand activation. vivo, a new comer to the gaming scene, needed to stand out to showcase its gaming smartphone. Since "Outplay" was the theme, we decided to elevate the competition. Inspired by the Bladerunner move where technology has taken over society in its fictional 2019 futurescape, we create an esports experience in 2019 revolving around AI vs human using vivo's AI research collaboration with Qualcomm and Tencent to introduce an AI driven virtual esports team called Suprex. We then issued a challenge to esports team at the event and in China to beat Suprex in a Game of Honor 王者荣耀, which was China's most popular PVP mobile game at that time. Award won:
