Although CDS is better known for our cute anime art, we can draw art that appeals to the female demographic too! When Yaoi Crate was looking for a mascot to be designed, we leapt at the opportunity to prove our versatility. For them, we designed a mascot artwork and a chibi to go with him.
The character was unveiled on 1st Aug 2020 (or #801 Day, Yaoi Day) and garnered quite a good response from Yaoi Crate's community. Subsequently, YC-kun was officially named Haruki through a naming contest.

Yaoi Crate was eventually bought over by Otaku Box. As a farewell, we were commissioned to do one final artwork featuring the mascot and the founders of the brand!
