House of Prayer is a project created for the latest sermon series at Kalos Church. The series will highlight the importance of praying and fasting throughout the month of January. Since I only had a week to finish the project, I decided to take a literal approach on the concept as well as use resources already on my hard drive, specifically the monopoly houses and prayer hands. I tested the Monopoly board game approach to see if the concept would work, and to my surprise all the elements fell into place.
Monopoly's board was redesigned to fit with the church's team structure. Instead of avenues such as Broadway, each space now represents a different department and sub departments within the church. Similarly, community chest, chance cards, and luxury tax were converted to communion, event cards (announcements), and tithe spaces. Each of the railroads now represent the name of a different venue that Kalos has occupied over the past 5 years.
