I was asked by the good folks at Alcove to hand paint their signage and develop custom lettering for their tagline "heady home goods." Alcove embraces smoking rituals as an enrichment of daily living and they wanted signage to reflect that. Naturally, I felt gold leaf would be the best material to elevate the shop windows and draw people inside. I developed smoke-inspired lettering to use for the gold leaf windows, as well as for the subtext on the door. I used their pre-existing logo to bring life their roll gate cover and more visibility to the shop from a distance.
