Character Design

The story is about a young boy who lost his soul due to a conflict with the Earth God. So now his only goal is to regain the pieces of his soul from the other Gods of the Elements.

These are the character designs for my diploma project.
Air Goddess is an energetic young woman who has great sense of justice. She quickly decides whether or not she likes someone and will act upon that. She’s hot-headed and merciless if she doesn’t like someone. She’s helpful and nice when she does.
Earth God is a lazy, paunchy elder man who’s kind with those who are kind to him. He likes to sleep and mostly found in sleeping positions. He only cause problems like earthquake or landslides when humans don’t respect him as much as he expect it.
Water Goddess lives in the deepwater to avoid the gods and humans alike. She’s disgusted by both but if she has to she gets along with the gods. As for the humans, she doesn’t care about them as long as they don’t destroy her waters. She seems cruel but she really doesn’t care about anything that has nothing to do with her waters.
Fire God is vengeful, destructive and cruel young man. He likes to play with human lives and create mischief. All the gods hate him deep down but cannot do anything. He likes to offer deals that are only profitable for him. He cannot be trusted.
A 16 year-old Asian boy who just wanted to save his mother. He is very determined to prove to the gods that he is worth for his soul and what he’d done was a mistake. He doesn’t back down when the gods taunt him. He mostly looks stoic because he doesn’t want to show his fear. He wants to hide his weaknesses.
Color and dress sketches for the boy
Neighbor for Boy and his mother. He used to be a university professor but his practices were seen too decadent. He also despises the gods. He is somewhat a father-figure for boy. He helps build up Boy when he loses his body parts.
