Mission Mars(SLINGSHOT)-Main on End Title Sequence

Mission Mars(Slingshot): Main on End Title Design
Dharma 2.0 produced a short film on India's Mars orbiter mission for Johnnie Walker's Keep walking series. The film was lovingly named as SLINGSHOT by its director Imran Khan, based on the unique approach that was used to send this satellite to mars.Though later it was changed to Mission Mars to make it more accessible.
To bring in a  perfect closure to the film, we were called on board to create a Main on End Title sequence.
As the film mainly focused on the personal story of the scientists, we suggested that the Main on End sequence captures the journey of the orbiter from earth to mars with a culmination point as the title shot where it loses signal for a mere few minutes. This brought a beautiful contrast to the film while also emphasizing the sense of uncertainty that forms the crux of the story.
The final sequence was a combination of computer generated imagery with select footage used from the national TV archive.
The credit forms were ideated as new age technical glitches which subtly hinted the loss of signal.
I was involved on this project in the capacity of a Director, Designer and Editor
