The series of illustration that are focused on evolution of my feelings and some daily stuff during 5 months lockdown (February-July 2020) in the campus of one university of Beijing.
Chapter 1: Who am I now?
Answer to the question “How do you feel in quarantine for three month?”
That’s how I feel it. Like a mix of Rapunzel, Alice in Wonderland and Snow White: stuck in a room, the room is definitely too small for me and sometimes it seems appropriate to talk with birds.
Chapter 2: Beijing Wolverine and rainy season
No reasons to brush hair or shave legs. No opportunity to make gel polish.
Relationships with paradise birds from the park are becoming more and more intimate.
Only storms and coffee delivery can make me being excited.
Any desire to cook disappeared last month but body still demands fresh hot meals. Stupid body, in four months you actually could learn how to photosynthesize!
Chapter 3: The Princess and the Pea but pea is definitely not the biggest problem during the night
I moved in together with my red-feathered friend. You know sometimes living with another individual is troublesome at first. Now, as you can see, we try to get along. As you can see not succeed yet.
Sleeping hours have been shifted so significantly that even cockroaches worry. I suppose it is not genuine worry, they are just selfish insects cause the less I sleep the more possibility I will kill them.
Morning schedule of wild nature:
3.30 am - some bird starts to sing
4.30 am - all other birds start to tweet loudly and chaotically
5 am - janitor sweeps sidewalks
6 am - next to my window someone sneezes and slaps one’s body.
Chapter 4: New friends in the Swan Princess’ lake

During the lockdown I had enough time to encounter all habitants of our campus including non-human species.
Dogs and cats are calm af and don’t let me pet them even sometimes (it would definitely made my day better!).
Ducks, carps and one turtle (???) in the pond are splitting the domains and bread crumps. Duck are winning.
Mosquitoes and unidentified buzzing insects always transform my night to fascinating hunting. But we never know who hunt who.
Chapter 5: Cinderella and spine overloads
Long lockdown destroys any desire to do sport, stretch muscles or move at all.
However, tough reality still require some physical activities.
And if crunching bones and joints are strong enough to reach the campus gate for takeouts, packaging and carrying 20kg boxes while moving out of the dorm is becoming an overwhelming obstacle for the body.
Stay safe, drink water and train your muscles, guys 🤍
The project will been updating.
