Intimate immensity, installation selected for the FIBRA exhibition
that took place from the 20th of February to the 9th of May 2020 at La Plateforme, Grenoble.
Inspired by the text of Gaston Bachelard in The Poetics of SpaceThis immersive installation is a place of initiatory passage, a passage from the outside to the deeper inside, a passage from the external immensity to the internal immensity.
The structure invites the visitor to sink into the density of the swamp fiber grass, to cross its depth, to confront its tactile, sound and olfactory mystery, to arrive at a more intimate inner space. Once inside, the protective envelope and its darkness invite to meditation and day-dream, where time no longer exists and space extends without limit.

Materials used:
Swamp fiber grass, plywood, metal suspension cables, waxed cotton cord, fiber optic lights.
