The world is the artist’s canvas and muse. Photographers, illustrators, digital artists, writers; they all find inspiration outdoors. But this is specifically true to one amongst this group of wild creatives: street artists.

During confinement, street artists are keeping their magic to themselves at home, missing opportunities to deliver key messages around the situation. So, how can we bring the street-born, "zeitgeisty", physical wall art to a world that can no longer go out and see it for itself?

Introducing: Spray the Calm

We borrowed the typographic essence of “Daijoubu“—a traditional Japanese saying for “everything will be ok“—and fused it with the healing power of color.

A cold pastel arrangement designed to evoke feelings of tranquility, peace, and ease of mind— bringing together a unique product line of spray cans for street artists to paint the only walls available during confinement: Zoom Virtual Backgrounds

Zoom has become particularly popular during the last weeks, it brings people close to each other and serves as a platform to bridge physical distancing. We want to leverage these connections by infusing them with strokes of calming colors and individual creativity, the world much needs from during these tough times.

Spray the Calm is a callout for street artists to do what they excel at in a zen fashion. Let’s instill the digital homes we temporarily moved into with a reassuring message: Everything will be ok! 👌
