Dynamic lines combined with the calm pallet of colors and using of natural materials are the subtle interactions that transform the interior of a typical apartment into an elegant and comfortable space.
The primary task in interior design of the apartment in the “French Block 2” was to form a functional and open space zoning that would create a carefree atmosphere. Bezmirno team has reached the maximum openness of space, which seems to flow into each other but does not interfere at the same time, thanks to basic planning rules.

There are no barriers between the entrance group, the kitchen and the living room, which gives free access to the main premises of the apartment. Visual partitions of the apartment are actually a very spacious and well-equipped closets, that provide a sense of security for the main part of the house, without blocking the access paths. The convenient planning of the kitchen, decorated with ash veneer and marble tile, give the most visited spot of the apartment even more value and lasting beauty. The kitchen island, bordering on a huge round dining table, is the centerpiece of this space. And the living room, separated by a large soft sofa, has it’s own eco fireplace, an unusual coffee table and a stylish comfy armchair that will be a very nice addition to the peaceful family gatherings.
In order to create a place for everyone so they could work or relax alone, if it’s needed, the design of the apartment also provided a place for a separate office for the head of the family. The room with it’s own sofa, bar and work desk, decorated with veneered milled MDF and a dark color scheme, is an embodiment of restrained beauty and stability.
Artworks by Romina Ressia designed in her own style, combining classical Renaissance art and absurd motifs to illuminate modern issues, placed in living room, hallways and the office, gave the interior a special boldness and a freedom to create.
The apartment also has a guest bathroom, laundry room and another dressing room, surrounded by a brightly lit plexiglass box.
The main feature of the interior design was the master bedroom, which occupies all the left wing of the apartment. The spacious bedroom, with a large bed, stylish cabinets and a vanity desk, passes into the bathroom, which is hidden behind the tinted glass walls, and which, in turn, goes into a separate bathroom. This wing also has it’s own dressing room, which transforms the master bedroom into a separate independent space.
The other interesting task for Bezmirno team was designing a sleeping area for the kids. This room, decorated with veneered MDF, soft panels and walls painted in pastel blue, has two comfortable beds, a climbing frame and another hidden zone behind the partition. We decided to design a work area that would not be the centerpiece of the bedroom and would have concealed access for children only, in addition to the sleeping area of the room. This part has a large desktop, divided into two workplaces, with long bookshelves, a spacious closet for storing things and a huge amount of natural light. To create a sense of independence for the boys, we decided to design a huge bathroom with two sinks, where almost all the walls are covered by an unusual hexagonal ceramic tile.
With using natural materials, restrained color scheme, dynamic lines, a large number of mirrors and glass surfaces, hidden premises and multifunctional zones – 156 sq.m apartment in Residential complex “French Block 2” (Kyiv, Ukraine) became the embodiment of domestic bliss, without usual borders, but with a place for everyone.
