In the Basque Country, there is what is called "pelote basque", a global term in which there are more than a dozen different disciplines among which, the best known: the Cesta Punta.
Popularized worldwide in the 50s under the term "Jai Alai", especially in the United States where very often, the condition to open a casino was to build a fronton (or Jai Alai). Although declining in the United States - but back in Mexico - this discipline which remains the most spectacular and the fastest (records at 306 km / h in 2017 by Ibon Aldazabal at the Dania's Casino) remains a huge success in Spain and France.
Each year, starting in the summer, the pelotaris return from the USA and Mexico and came back to France and Europe, participating to the Masters Series. A whole series of games taking place in the some of the most beautiful Spanish Jai Alai, Mutriku, Lekeitio, Zumaia or even that of Gernika which we nicknamed "The Cathedral".
Unfortunately actual posters often enjoy a past design, graphically heavy, and this is why I wanted to propose something simpler, more refined, highlighting the legends of this sport by using some old photographies.
