In Project 3, The Seven Deadly Sins, I was to develop a series of seven graphic compositions that communicate the seven sins deadly sins. I was to create unified and thematic compositions with the supplied template which was to be printed on tabloid. Throughout the project I was to focus on creating works that clearly express the supplied definitions—and not subvert the intent or add my judgement on the validity of the content. Furthermore, I provided and wrote a rationale/narrative that assisted each sin.

SPECIFICATIONS
Form: a cmyk, digitally printed tabloid produced by the newspaper club—in Scotland.

front coverr, for my front cover I took a photo of a constructed image. I wanted my cover to be contrasted to the rest of my project and eventually play into my work for the final and most dangerous sin pride
Wrath, for this spread I was challenged to create a 2d scan of a 2 dimensional object. This took the longest simply to the simple complexity of the criteria. I ended with the idea of a curb stomp, not only is it an act of violance and anger, but the rage that builds from being placed beneath ones boot is part of wraths cyclical nature
Greed, for this spread i was challenged to create a photographic representation of greed. The idea I ran with for this spread was how easy it is for people to see greed as a simple part of nature as well as to show how fatal that mindset can be. The photo represents the death of a person who desired to indulge their greedy nature, only to be drawn into its cycle
Pride. for this spread I was tasked with creating a constructed image. I decided I wanted the sin of pride to be a mirror of the majesty presented by my cover. Both images together are there to convey the fall of lucifer, who saw his own ideas as above God. For his pride he was thrown to hell.
