I designed and hand painted this mural for a new WeWork building in Lima, Peru, which was inaugurated in December 2018.
The design is inspired by Inca tapestries, which feature abundant geometric shapes and patterns.
For the mural I redesigned these patterns by incorporating more organic forms that refer to icons of the landscapes of Peru. Also, I used vibrant colors that contrast with the opaque colors of the tapestries to reinterpret them in a more modern way.
The letters have an angular structure to achieve harmony with the geometric structure of the mural.
