John Fluevog advertisement

This was my entry for an online competition. It was to advertise a new shoe called Ludovika from Fluevog's Queens of Prussia range.
Melbourne Writers Festival: Stories around every corner (Student project)

Each year, advertising for the Melbourne Writer’s festival follows a theme that will both attract visitors and lead discussions throughout the festival. The theme for 2013 is “Stories around every corner.” This is an expression that means stories can be found anywhere and everywhere, and this is true of Melbourne. “Corner” nods to the grid pattern of the city and also the corners of a traditional book.
I'm using type and the written word to express the idea that the city of Melbourne can serve as a source of inspiration for artists, on par with Paris or New York, cities that have historically served as home to creatives. The theme “stories around every corner” will encourage visitors to look for stories in unexpected places, and inspire them, as part of Melbourne’s creative community to attend the festival and join the conversation.
The message will be strategically placed with vinyl stickers in “unexpected places” such as staircases in cafes, bars and trains stations around melbourne. The stickers will spell out a story created using the surrealist collaborative writing game "exquisite corpse" serving as a source of inspiration. Our audience will get a chance to write their own with the game explained in the festival zine.
