RULE BREAKERS, DO YOUR THING
Original Typeface
The Typography assignment was to create an original typeface. I knew right away that I wanted to knit mine. I knitted my way down several rabbitholes (including an obscure concept for a scarf that would use the first letter of each stitch name to communicate a short message that only another knitter could read).
Via a circuitous route, I settled on a Miss Frizzle-esque cardigan and knitted only the characters of R, B, D, Y, and T as an homage to our professor who often allows that it’s fine with him if Rule Breakers, Do Your Thing.
