The year was 2018, I undertook to ride 3000 kilometers through Japan on a motorcycle over 17 days, capturing graphic images on my camera that would create a compelling narrative of a country that is as exotic and alien as it is both ancient and futuristic at once. I was overwhelmed by the potential for capturing images of colour, dynamism and otherworldly scenes. Will I be returning to document more of the streets of Japan? You bet.
