Tarkovsky’s Stalker | Personal Poster Experiment

This is an experimental poster I’ve did as a kickstart for a possible poster-oriented portfolio, and I’ve decided start with my very favorite movie of all times, the minimalist sci-fi masterpiece “Stalker” by the storytelling genius Andrei Tarkovsky.
.
I’m starting to make the move to pursue more illustration work - not concept art related stuff, but rather covers / posters / etc. Since I’ve got back to freelancing earlier this year, I’ve done quite a few concept jobs (which of course I cannot show), but now I’ve been feeling the urge to try and pursue an old dream of mine, doing poster illustration works. .
Painted with the exceptional Gouache MaxPack by @MaxUlichney - the brushes are phenomenal, but I gotta tell you, the smudge brushes are  i n s a n e ! Added just a bit of grit in the end with an old scanned painted texture of mine (though 99% of the textures are from the brushes), and some color tweaks on Snapseed. The font is Zdyk Libra by Chequered Ink - it has the kind of bizarre feel I’m fond of, and I’ve thought it would suit well for the atmosphere.
.
Lemme know what you think! Would you like to see more poster-esque illustrations? Hope you enjoy it, and if you know to whom should I talk to for an approach towards poster art (like @mondonews @blackdragonpress @criterioncollection and others), please let me know!
.
And a special shoutout to one of my favorite artists ever (and a poster art genius, just like his brother) @grzegorz_domaradzki for encouraging me to pursue this ! ! ! Can’t thank you enough for the inspiration, dudes 🍻
