Blue Grass Gig Poster: Sundown Blue Grass

I began by creating a diverse set of sketches to get a lot of random ideas out of my head. I wanted to search for an idea that could go with a blue grass theme for the creation of my gig poster.
Drafts
I had three ideas that I was trying to get to work. I wanted the sky to kind of be different than a regular sky. I was trying to incorporate the idea of this cool silhouette of a car with musical notes. I also tried to incorporate some kind of tree pattern. I worked on so many different ideas for it, but it wasn't turning out how I wanted it to turn out so I ended up scratching that. Also, the snowy mountains seemed like a good idea in the beginning, but I ended up getting rid of that too. It was a rough start because there were so many random things happening and I did not know what to continue with. I was hit a road block for awhile until I figured out what I wanted to do.
Final
Finally I concluded with this final idea. I kept the mountains and ended up scratching the different sky idea. I wanted to create a ray of sunshine to give my poster a unique look. I also thought that having a tree hanging over from the top of the screen as it could add some more depth to the poster. In the end I am happy where the poster ended up.
