Alvaro Tapia was commissioned by Swedish game developers Riotminds to make illustrations and develop a distinctive style for the RPG game Ruin Masters, set to be released as a kickstarter campaign in 2019. The client wanted the look and feel to be retro-fantay, evoking the classic roleplayingames from the seventies and eighties.

The illustration below was the first one to be developed. Intentionally sporting all key-elements; dynamic poses, excessive detailing, ruins and artefacts it was shown to the client as proof of concept before continuing with the production of a total of thirty illustrations.
