Physics Now for After Effects

Physics Now!
Integrated Physics Simulation – for After Effects
Easily simulate any visible layers in After Effects with this fast and powerful 2D physics simulation plugin.
Integrated
Tag a layer as DYNAMIC or STATIC. Then hit SIMULATE and watch your simulation playback on your After Effects timeline.
You work with your simulation directly inside After Effects.
All settings are attached to your layers. They will follow along if you reorder or rename your layer or even copy your layer to another composition. And they will be saved in the After Effects project and will be ready for you the next time you open it.
You will be simulating like a pro in no time!
Shape layers
Most shape layers are automatically analyzed and will work with no extra work. If you have complex shape layers you can easily create a Collision Cage for them.
Shape layers can be solid or hollow. Simply disable or delete the fill and the shape layer is considered hollow. Hollow layers can contain other layers.
Text layers
Text layers are automatically analyzed with no extra work required. The can be kept as one layer or split into separate characters. Use the actual font outlines or the bounding box of the layer for a little extra spacing.
Oh, and don’t worry about that text splitting. Physics Now!’s workflow is 100 % nondestructive.
All other layers
Layers like compositions, images or other imported files can be giving custom Collision Cages to define their shapes. This can even be done automatically using After Effects Auto-Trace.
Animate properties
Animate physics properties like Bounce, Friction or Density. Or physics world properties like Gravity or Time Scale. All properties are animated on your normal After Effects timeline. Just click SIMULATE and the animation will be done and playing back in seconds.
Respects layers in/out points
It is easy to pop your layer in or out of the physics simulation simply by using the layers in/out points.
You can also enable or disable layers, to temporarily disable them in the simulation.
Animated layers
Layers animated with either keyframes or expressions will follow this animation until their animation stops. After the last keyframe the physics properties will take over and inherit the layers end velocity.
Both static and dynamic layers can be animated.
ExtendScript Toolkit support
Physics Now! even adds 2d physic simulation capabilities to ExtendScript Toolkit for After Effects. This allow you to use physic simulation in your scripted or automated workflows. The only requirement is that Physics Now! window is open.
This also shows how well intergrated into After Effects this plugin really is!
This is how it works:
