Family Crest Project!
Conceptualization
Research: (most research was done verbally through questions addressed to my mother)

Critique & Revision:
During the revision process, many people told me that the first family crest (the first one listed above) was the best out of the three. The last crest I created (last one listed above) was an idea I lost my drive for, so I basically scraped it and went for the first one, mainly because it looks like the middle picture, only better and more fleshed out. I also heard a lot of feedback about the placement of the penny on the crest. All the people who talked to me told me to move the penny to make the whole penny fit inside the space provided, so I made that change as well.
Final:
For my family crest, I decided to think outside the shield (get it?) and go for something that wasn't as common of a crest shape and design. I went for the main color scheme because as an Italian, those colors represent my heritage. The main portion of my crest is the propeller, which represents the air-force background of most of my grandpops and great grandpops. The fist I created is meant to represent how in my inner family in Arizona, I am one of the only males, as well as the first male who is set to go to college (hence the closed fist, like charging into a battle alone). The pen writing on the paper represents the background my family has as teachers and writers. The penny I created represents how most of my modern family handles money, whether that be through helping people with insurance, banking, and even cashiers. Moretti is placed at the bottom of the page in a banner to show how the name our family holds is small in comparison to the vast accomplishments and jobs we have achieved.
