These photos are part of a larger body of work titled Santeria: A Personal Journey of Chronic Illness and Healthcare that was exhibited at the Yale RebLaw Conference (2019). Santeria... is a commentary on the ways in which the U.S. healthcare system fails people with chronic illnesses (forcing them to seek other means for healing), as told through the lens of the religion Santeria and its Orishas (gods and goddesses).
