In our graphic design class we were asked to create a Cd cover for a singer or a group we like. I chose The Palast Orchester and decided to create a minimal cover with echoes from the 20s. Their repertoire is mainly made of songs from the 20s and the 30s, and their clothes remind of a past era, with ballrooms and tall microphones.

Ci è stato richiesto a una lezione di Graphic Design di creare la cover di un Cd di un cantante o di un gruppo che ci piacesse. Ho scelto la Palast Orchester, un gruppo tedesco che ha un repertorio prevalentemente composto di canzoni degli anni '20 e '30. Ho deciso di fare una cover minimale con echi degli anni '20, servendomi come elemento grafico dei loro vestiti, che rimandano a un'epoca passata, con sale da ballo e microfoni alti.

This is the illustration i created for the cover. It's a minimal portrait, mainly through clothes, of the leader of the Palast Orchester, Max Raabe.

I wanted to use Futura, which was created in 1927 and it's sooo 20s, but then I chose HiLo Deco, for its lightness and proportions.
